This year, we’re kicking things off with college field trips that offer valuable insights into college campus life. Our commitment to empowering every student to reach their college and career aspirations remains at the heart of what we do.
We have a fantastic lineup of events and resources designed to help our students excel, and we look forward to sharing these opportunities with you.
Stay tuned for updates, stories of success, and opportunities to get involved this year. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of our Ontario-Montclair School District students and their families.
Here’s to a fantastic school year ahead!
The Promise Scholars Team
We were honored to participate in Mt. San Antonio College’s Community Volunteer Fair; Chaffey High School’s College Fair, Commit to Graduate Day, and Lunch Outreach; and Ontario High School’s In-Class Financial Aid Support.
We hosted Skills and Career Exploration Activities for our 9th Grade Scholars at Ontario and Chaffey High School, showing students the importance of skills when determining college majors and careers.
We would like to thank the wonderful outreach team at Chaffey College for hosting field trips for our OMSD 5th Grade Scholars at Ramona Academy, Mission, Vista Grande, Haynes, Corona, and Kingsley Elementary. Thank you CSU San Bernardino for inviting our 7th Grade Scholars from Wiltsey and Serrano Middle School on a field trip to their campus.
Lastly, we awarded Opportunity Scholarships for students who completed Step 1 at Montclair, Ontario, and Chaffey High School. Congratulations to Kyla Sophia Trance and Lynette Miranda from Montclair High School, Mariana Betancourt and Yarizbeth Martinez from Ontario High School, and Gabriela Perez and Dahlia Gonzalez from Chaffey High School.
Attention Class of 2027!
This exciting opportunity is available to students at Chaffey, Ontario, and Montclair High Schools. The scholarship is a 9-step program, where students have the chance to win $500 at each step. Complete all 9 steps, and you’ll be in the running for a grand prize of $15,000! Each step is crafted to support students on their path to college admission, requiring only proof of completion submitted through Canvas. Deadlines are subject to change.
We’re thrilled to see so many students participating in this opportunity. For Step 1, we received 815 submissions, which is a 91.3% increase from 426 submissions in 2024-2025. Don’t miss your chance to join the many participants already working through the steps!
Missed the first two deadlines? No worries! Students can still participate and be eligible for the scholarship, even if they’ve missed a few steps. Continue to participate in Steps 3-9 for a chance to win $500! For questions and inquiries, please DM us on Instagram @OntMontPS
